Professor of American History and of Political Science, 2000-2001

Teaching two classes in American History, from the discovery of America
through the Civil War.

Teaching a class in Political Science, dealing with federalism, the
legal system, and various governmental processes.
·
Was able to take on a double class of American History from another
professor, and conduct two simultaneous sessions.
·
Student body at Boricua consists of minority and immigrant students,
with an average age of 36. For nearly all students, these classes
were cases of first impression and exposure to both American history
and to political science and theory.
AUGUST
MARTIN HIGH SCHOOL, JAMAICA, NY.
Teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL), 2000-2001

Teaching five classes of ESL students, from Beginner to Advanced,
with one additional Reading class.

Hold morning pre-school ESL tutoring sessions, as well as after-school
BESAR ELA-ESL English Regents tutoring sessions.
